Abstract

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce power consumption by arranging a filter on the periphery of outer air intake port in the front door of a storage room on the lowermost stage and conducting outer air paths, divided into the inner part of the door and the inner part of the lower wall surface of a refrigerator body, under a state where the door is closed thereby suppressing clogging of the filter. SOLUTION: An outer air intake port 12b is made in the front door 10d of a storage room 9 on the lowermost stage in order to cool a condenser 5 or the like disposed in a machine room 4 and a filter 13b is set immediately on the inside of the intake port 12b. Consequently, the area of the intake port 12b and the filter 13b is increased and the height thereof from the floor surface can be increased. A wind path extending from the intake port 12b to the front side of the machine room 4 is divided into a part passing through the inside of the door 10d and the part passing through the inside of the lower wall surface of the body to the machine room 4 and both parts are conducted when the door 10d is closed. Consequently, wind speed in the machine room 4 is prevented tram decreasing and heat exchange performance of the condenser 5 can be prevented from lowering. COPYRIGHT: (C)1998,JPO
