Abstract

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the disturbance due to an amplitude-modulated frequency component for a direct conversion receiver by canceling the distortion component of the amplitude-modulated frequency that is caused by a frequency conversion means. SOLUTION: A high-frequency signal 104 and a reference signal 105 are inputted to a frequency conversion means 101 and are mixed. Then the amplitude-modulated frequency component and a frequency component which is double the modulated frequency are produced as an output signal 106 by the distortion characteristic of the means 101. On the other hand, a high-frequency signal 104 is inputted to an amplitude-modulated component detection means 102, and the amplitude-modulated frequency component of the signal 104 is detected and outputted as an output signal 107. Then a computing element 103 performs an operation, to cancel the amplitude-modulated frequency component and its double component to the signal 106, based on the information on the signal 107.
